After Hours Learning was founded in September of 2000, by James Petterson. Before creating After Hours, he used to Social Studies teacher at Burbank High School for 25 years. James was a passion for teaching kids and making education fun. A few days after retiring, he was bored of this new lifestyle. While cruising around, an idea came to him that he should continue with his passion, and that he should pass on his learning techniques.

Since we've opened, we have helped thousands of students, from elementary to high school. Each student that has used our services has made dramatic improvements in school. Our programs are designed individually for each student that uses our services.

Our staff of tutors are very passionate about helping students succeed. Each tutor has at least 20 years of teaching background. Also, they bring many study techniques that are proven to work with any kind of student.

We have very competitive and affordable rates. Our hourly rates start at $30/hr and goes up to $65/hr. Some children may qualify for free tutoring.
