me

Hello! My name is Pat. I'm a Minnesota-based front-end web developer. My current position is working as Web/Interactive Designer at a print company in Minnesota. Throughout career and education, I enjoyed turning ideas into user-friendly interactive websites or applications.

I have a bachelors degree and Associates degree in Interactive Design. The degree that I have attained invovled design and development. Throughout my education, I found myself being really good at coding, so I lean towards doing development.

Problem Solving

Problem solving is a common task every developer runs into. The best ways to solve these problems is: scan through to the code to see if something misspelled, run tests, ask a team member, and search the internet.

On a daily basis at my current job, handle multiple tasks/projects at a time.

Scherer Window Consultants

The Scherer Window Consultants website is a static and responsive website. The website redesign updated the look of the client's website as well as improved the mobile experience for their customers. The project involved taking a designed Illustrator file and converting it into a responsive website.

Visions

The Visions website is a custom responsive Wordpress theme. The theme allows the user to: add pages, update menu's, and update content. The project involved taking a designed Photoshop file and converting it into a responsive Wordpress theme.

Job Board

CreativeJobz is custom job board that I did as a side project. This project was started turning an idea and seeing if I could make it happen. CreativeJobz is a job board for creative professionals to search and apply for jobs. The job board had an internal search engine and allowed a user to customize their own job listing with the help of a WYSIWYG editor. The job board also had a share a job feature. A user could email or tweet a job they wanted to share.

NDN-PTAC

The NDN-PTAC website is a static website. The project updated the look of the non-profit's website and allowed the client's to update their event caledar without having to touch any of the code. The project invovled taking a design Photoshop file and converting it into a static website.

Chuck's Plumbing

The Chuch's Plumbing website redesign is a static website. The project updated the look of the client's website. The project involved designing the website, as well as taking the design and converting it into a website.

Griffins Designs is my past portfolio. This project is a custom responsive Wordpress theme. The theme allows the user to add posts to their blog.
